On June 2, the Arizona Department of Health Services reported the number of coronavirus cases in Queen Creek and San Tan Valley at 18,441 in zip codes 85140, 85142 and 85143.
This is an increase of 133 cases from a week ago.
Last week, the number of cases stood at 18,308, an increase of 189 from the previous week.
Over 90% of cases were mapped to the patient’s home address. If the patient’s address was unknown, the case was mapped to the provider’s address followed by the address of the reporting facility, according to ADHS.

For most people, the new coronavirus can lead to COVID-19 which can have mild or moderate symptoms, such as fever and cough that go away within two to three weeks. But for some – especially the elderly and people with existing health problems – it can cause more serious illness and even death.
